Some reasons for changing the primary or main domain of a cPanel account may be when the current domain is expired or you wish to transfer it to another hosting account or maybe you simply want to attach your hosting package to a different domain name.
Note: Adding a primary domain to your account is not the same as registering a domain.

- The domain name must not be a trademark
- The domain name must not be hosted on our servers and must not be added as an addon domain to your hosting account. If it has already been added, first delete it. Failure to delete it, you’ll get errors when trying to change the main domain.
